The Art of Burning Your Wooden Wick Candle
Our wooden wick candles are designed to create an elevated sensory experience. To enjoy the full beauty of your candle, follow these simple care steps.
Illuminate with Intention
Hold the flame to one end of the wick and gently glide it across until the entire wick is lit. Because wood naturally absorbs wax, allow the flame to rest on the wick for 5–10 seconds to melt away excess wax and reveal a steady, elegant burn.
Maintain a Perfect Line
Before each lighting, ensure the wick is trimmed into a clean, straight edge. If the candle went out shortly after lighting, the wick may form a soft curve. Simply trim it back into a refined, straight line before relighting.
Trim for a Flawless Flame
For optimal performance, trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch before every burn. Remove any charred pieces with wick scissors or gently with your fingers to preserve a smooth, controlled flame.
Create an Even Melt Pool
Allow the wax to melt fully to the outer edge of the vessel before extinguishing. This prevents tunneling and helps your candle maintain its beautiful form over time.
A Beautifully Balanced Burn
A well-kept wooden wick delivers a calm, even flame and a refined burn from the first light to the last.
